Your Driving Test and COVID-19

The driving test and Covid-19 procedures

While the driving test itself has not changed, there are elements of the service that must now be delivered differently due to Covid-19. This is so that the RSA protect their driver testers and you the test candidate.

The video below will show you what to expect on the day of your driving test. Please also familiarise yourself with the RSA important guidance information leaflet  as failure to meet these requirements on the day, could result in your test not going ahead.

Pre-test calls

As part of the Covid-19 procedures, your driver tester will call you on the mobile number you provided in your booking application. Please make sure this number is correct, otherwise the tester won’t be able to call you and the test won’t go ahead.

On arrival at the driving test centre, make sure your mobile phone is switched on and that its settings allow calls from a private number. To check your details please sign up or log onto your customer portal MyRoadSafety and go to the ‘My Profile’ page.
